Hmmmm
The rat devil sculpt is coming along, I've reworked the head a few times and am starting over. I've been documenting it's growth since the beginning and will post the process eventually, but for now, here's a quick reference for where it's at.

I also somehow found the time to pump out this giant hissing cockroach.

Since I've been working in 3-D I've noticed that I'm slowly being surrounded by these little monstrosities. One can't help but raise an eyebrow. I've been getting a lot of double takes from people when I am moving stuff from studio to studio. My professor guessed that my home studio is probably starting to look like a freak show, and I definitely can't deny it. I guess there was no avoiding it. I'm still the same little kid who brings bugs, snakes, bones, frogs, and anything that would give my mom a heart attack into the house. I apologize in advance to my future wife.

The Pest from Hell
Since I've been working with this theme I've been attempting different approaches on how I can make relevance of the subject matter. I decided a good venue to start recording and drawing these beasties would be a scientific one, with notes and diagrams pertaining to their traits and behaviors. Heres one of a domestic pest that has evolved to survive solely in urban environments due to environmental displacement.

I used rats, lizards, monkeys, wolves, weasels and crocodiles as reference. I'm 50 hours into sculpting this wee devil, so I'll post images of progress soon.
